Why do I sell my kits so cheap? It's not that I'm trying to undersell anyone else in the industry, it's not that I don't think my kits are worth more. It's quite simply that being a single mom I know living pay check to pay check and scrimping by on the littlest possible to get to that next paycheck...but I also know it's important to have something YOU love to do ... something that let's you be creative and relaxing and gives you some YOU time !! I do it so if a person wants to scrap and doesn't have alot of extra money laying around they can maybe get one or two kits to work with !!
So it's not that I don't think my kits are worth it... I just tend to look at reality and realize I can do what I can to help along the way.

With that said here is my latest kit I put in the store it's called Christmas Love and it is 1.00. I have a brand new kit I need to preview and package and it's called Snow Dreams. Stop by my store at Divine Digital and check them and other's out. Most of my kits are 1.00 or 2.00 and never more !!

Hi everyone hope you are enjoying your ride on the blog train and I sure hope you are enjoying better weather than we are here in Ohio... enough snow and cold already !!!!! The whole month of January I don't think we got in a complete week of school it was one winter storm after another blowing through ~ but it sure makes it more special when spring finally arrives (which I hope is really really soon !! )
The kids made out their Valentine's today for school.... this is Nik's first year of getting to actually put his classmates names on them (in preschool they didn't do that) and he had so much fun and did a really good job writing each of their names. Gracie of course just rolled through her's and decided to give each staff member at the school a Valentine also ~ I thought that was nice. (Nik did one up for me too since I am his busdriver awwww) Now we're done til I have to buy the treats for the parties.....

Well let me tell you a bit just to mix this up ... as a bus driver I have the unique opportunity to chat with the girls from Kingergarten on up ..... and I try very hard to influence them in a positive way ... you'd be surprised how many worry about weight and looks in Kindergarten/First grade.... it's unbelievable and I always worry they will miss out on just having fun if they start stressing about that so soon.

I am not a small woman and I try to explain to them that if you love yourself for who you are and no matter what you weigh, what your hair looks like etc.... you ARE who you are inside nothing changes with less/more weight or different color hair..... maybe in a small way I'll get through to them ~

Hope and George... My Twins

Today I'll tell you about Hope and George (or Nope and Porge as I called them so much) Hope came to live with me when she was 5 weeks old and shortly after the owner's who had kept George were kicking him for peeing on the back porch (not even 6 weeks old) so I told them they'd let me have him or else I was calling the Humane Society on them.... so George came to live with me ..... and I lovingly started calling them my twins :)

Their only downfall is their absolute hatred for cats.... even Hope now will bark if a cat walks near her kennel.... goofy girl is 13 years old and is pretty sure she's still young and frisky !!

I lost George 1 month from him turning 11 years old and I was devastated for him being such a big dog (and goofy himself if you see in the picture ... whenever I had the camera he had to be right there for a CLOSE UP) he was such a gentle friend. Always happy ~ loved to run and explore ~ I was so afraid since Hope and him had been together all their lives that she would not live long after he died but she is still going strong... wagging her propeller tail (wags it in circles instead of back and forth)

I used to lay on the floor and they would burrow in my hair ~ pull on it ~ I was their human chew toy .... but they were always so much fun :)

This is Hope last winter.... she's looking so old and yet keeps going strong !! So today is in memory of George and in honor of Hope..... Please don't forget to check out our charity kit ~ it's a good cause and there are a lot of furbabies out there needing our help !!!

Murphee James...

Yep my dogs all have "human" names.... maybe because they are each like my children :)

Today I want to share with you Murphee (Murph) ~ Murphee came to live with me when he was just 6 weeks old. He was in poor health and I quickly got him back to good health and by the next summer he was starting to get bad skin... I called the vet and they said come get some pills he's probably allergic to fleas.... so I put him on the meds and he lost all his hair and had pus pockets all over him..... turns out he had demodectic mange.... the first vet told me to put him down ... NOT acceptable.

So, I took him in for a second opinion and started on a very long journey of getting him healthy ... which included toxic dips given to him.... I would sleep on the floor with him the night of the dips with towels and extra nightgowns b/c it made him so sick.... but I stayed with him and loved him through each step. Finally I got what I was hoping for .... 2 negative skin scrapings he MADE it !!!

He was very picky about dogs he would be around ... he had "Great Dane" syndrome and thought he could take on the world... a couple of times he got into fights that I thought would kill him yet he bounced back time and time again ...He did however love Shilah and after she died he started a slow decline himself.... she was just over a year when he came to live with us and he died a year and half after her.... and he was 6 months shy of being 15 years old.

They truly were best friends. Murph was my cuddle bunny he loved to lay on my lap and sleep and get attention ~ and like Shi stood by me through all of my ups and downs... even having children .. he loved the kids from the get go and I had to keep an eye on him to make sure he didn't lick their faces constantly when they would be on the floor playing....

He died one year ago yesterday ~ and like Shi I haven't been able to scrap a memorial page for him just b/c it's still so hard.... you don't share that much of life with your best friends and get over it so easy. I will grieve for them for years I imagine ..... I remember like it was yesterday I went into the bathroom to get ready for my afternoon route and he was laying on his blanket with his heating pad... he cried out and I walked in and laid down beside him....he licked me layed his head on my arm and took his last breath .... it's like he knew and was calling me to be with him..... again to the end we were together. I miss my Murph so very much but am so thankful for the many years of friendship, laughter, fun and tears we shared.

My Shilah Jane....

I may ramble a bit here.... this is a layout I did awhile ago of my Shi. She was 6 months old when she came to live with me ~ and I lost her Jan. 2007 she was 16 1/2 years old. She shared 16 years of my life... before kids, before marriage, through tough times..... she was my baby girl. When she was young the only time she would calm down was during football games... and she would lay on my lap ~ under the blanket through all my yelling and whooping ....

She layed in the dirty clothes when I was away .... when I would come home and couldn't find her I'd find her curled up in my dirty clothes basket... the vet said it was her way of being close to me when I wasn't there.

One year at a PAWS walk she won 3rd place in the Best Dressed Dog competition.... she let me dress her but really hated it when I did... now that is love.

And when life kicked me down and all I wanted to do was give up she's lay on my lap and let me cry on her, hug her or just pet her.... I still cry when I think of her... remembering the good times and missing her so very much she was such a large part of my life for a long long time ....I know she was meant to be mine... when my sister told me about the abandoned dog under her friend's porch... and I said I'd take her I had no clue that such a bond would be formed and such memories would be made. I haven't been able to bring myself to scrap her since she died... i have so many I want to do and just haven't gotten to that place that is doesn't hurt so bad......

I was blessed to have been able to hold her as she took her last breath... knowing I was there by her side as she had been by my side when I needed her was the best gift we could have given each other.

So here's to my Shi's memory ~ What a ride we had... I love you "Butt Butt" and will NEVER forget you !!

Day 3 and a Chilly Morning it is ~ brrrrr.

Although not quite as cold as yesterday morning which was 28 degrees this morning it is at least 32 !!! Last night my daugther had a volleyball game... the lost the first game and won the last two ~ wtg girls !!!! We are supposed to have a game tonight but it will be the 3rd one this week and it's a late game so depending on whether Gracie gets up ok this morning will depend on if she goes tonight.... getting up at 5 am makes it rough on staying up much past 7 pm for the kids :(

Ok on to my pink passion for this morning ~ my roses ! My kids get me rose bushes for Mother's Day each year and both of mine from this year are blooming EVEN with the nights getting so cold ~ such strength... guess we could learn from the rose bush to bloom even in adversity ....

I can't grow a plant inside to save my life however I have such good luck with my rose bushes outside !!

Passionately Pink ... Day 2

I'm typing this tonight because my days start so early and I've been fighting a cold ... so mornings just don't go well right now and my brain won't engage :(

As I said yesterday I don't have a lot of pink in my life but what natural curly haired lady wouldn't be passionate about her PINK HAIR PICK... I mean it would NOT be a pretty picture if my trusty pink pick wasn't there every morning for me ..... I'm not a make up every day kinda person anymore... I'm lucky if I wear it 2 times a year but no matter what the day or weather my hair has to be put "under control" !!!!

My sickies lasted some last week and then I went into clean mode.... tis that time of year trying to get things done that need done and ready for winter (brrrr) We've been having awesome weather though.. low 80's the leaves are starting to change and it's just beautiful right now :)

Today is my daughter's 10th birthday ~ hard to believe that she is that old already I remember the tiny baby handed to me who made no other noise than a "squeak".... and now is chock full of attitude and spirit and well on her way to being a young adult.... WOW .... Happy Birthday Baby Girl !!

So Miserable ....

I woke up yesterday morning real early SICK ! No fever ~ but not keeping anything down .. the only thing I'd eaten the night before was a Chicken BLT salad from McDonald's.... turns out I had a nasty case of food poisoning... I managed to drive my morning routes and my boss drove my afternoon routes for me ... and I slept it off.... I think I was awake for a total of 2 hours yesterday .... :(

Feeling much better this morning ~ actually drinking coffee !!!! (a day without coffee is the worst let me tell you) My Mom brought me some things to nibble on last night and Gatorade ... I often wonder where I would be in life (were any of us would be ) if we didn't have people in our lives to step up when we needed them.... I am so thankful for the help I get along the way. I never seem to be able to express that enough though (at least in my mind) they say it takes a village to raise a child but I'm thinking it takes a village to get through life in general and I'm very thankful for the village surrounding me ~

So what about you all? Got a village supporting you through life too?? Don't forget to say thanks a couple of extra times to them.... without them life would be so much harder !!

We've had a pretty cool summer and fall so far... yesterday was Oktoberfest in the small local town we live next to. So off we went to take the kids there for a little weekend fun ~ get fair food (sugar waffles YUM) and just get out of the house for a bit. We had fun although it was a bit chilly and drizzled some.... that never seems to bother the kids they play outside no matter what weather.
Today since the wind isn't blowing too bad we are going to burn off the last of the burn pile left when we moved in here last year..... seems like we always have a pretty good breeze blowing through so we've been doing it little by little but finally got it down to finish the job !! Yea !

Hmmm I seemed to have missed a few months....

LOL sorry all not that my life is all that exciting but I sure do stay pretty busy and my blog always suffers :(

I've went through a lot of changes as far as my designing.. I am now exclusive to Divine Digital and loving being there... you'll have to check out my store.. all kits are 50% off every day .... and I try to put freebies in the store once in awhile !!!

School has started so I am in the middle of working 2 jobs, tending to all of the homework ect along the way and going to football games :) :) Our team won tonight.. first time this season so that was exciting for the fans and the team :)

Snow Days that is.... we are given 5 a year and with the incoming winter storm and the 2-3 inches that came down through the night we are using our 5th day ...winter needs to move on through and soon !!! I'm so much in the mood for spring... we've had enough 50 and 60 degree days scattered throughout winter that I'm just ready for warm weather... for summer ball to start.... to start mowing and planting the garden..... all that good stuff !!! Since I have nothing else better to do today maybe I'll work up a freebie in a spring theme to brighten things up around here !!!

Last week was interesting... Ohio weather at it's finest... started out in the 40's and 50's and by Friday we were hit with a winter storm warning LOL Geesh My daughter was sick two days and missed school and that is unheard of she just doesn't like to miss school.... we had no school Friday b/c of ice had a pretty nice weekend woke up yesterday to a 2 hour delay and then another day of school cancelled ???!!!???? The other side of the district has a lot of gravel roads and they were PURE ICE .... man you hate to lose a snow day over that but it was what it was......

Be on the look out for a new freebie sometime this week...... time for me to get ready before the power goes out (oh yeah it's 57 degrees with thunderstorms right now lol)

Our school has the option of Progress Book to keep up with your kids grades etc and I am usually fairly good about checking it... making sure that G is keeping up in class along with making sure her homework is done right etc.... well grade cards come out tomorrow so I was checking it this morning and it showed her having a "B" in Math... EEEK

So I went into see the assignments and one paper showed 00/100 and I about flipped.... so I wrote a note to her teacher and off she went... turns out he saw it this morning and the 1 didn't come through... so she actually had 100/100 on the paper and an "A" in Math (that's more like it)

He wrote a note back and thanked me sincerly for keeping him accountable and for being a concerned parent about my dd's education. Moments like that make me super glad I'm HUGE on education :)

More snow today also .... getting about tired of it.. I know it's winter but I'm so over the snow being pretty LOL

One nice thing about the job I have is getting days off !! But today we are back at it and they are calling for up to 2" of snow.... too bad it didn't happen through the night or we could have had another day off !! Sorry I've been MIA...

The weather has turned "interesting" ... last week we were in the 50's and 60's... this week we are lucky to get into the 20's... Monday it was driving on ice and yesterday blowing snow drifts.... EEEK the kids all made it to school but there were some hairy moments !! We had a bus accident Monday one of our drivers had a car pull out in front of him.... I understand it's frustrating to wait behind a bus.... but please remember many times we have kids on them and please don't race us.... just let us safely get the kids to school or home !!! Thankfully no kids were on the bus at the time of the accident but it wasn't so 3 years ago when we had our last accident ~ it really sets you back in your seat when something like that happens !

watching the BCS Championship game last night... of course the Buckeye's forgot how to play football.... but still it was college football and when you crave football you watch football !!!!! I only stayed up til the beginning of the fourth quarter but still made me very very tired today !

Tomorrow we are back in school... which is fine it's been nice having a break but I'm ready to drive again... not so thrilled about all of the snow we've gotten the past couple of days... but this weekend it's supposed to be warm and rain LOL gotta love our weather patterns.

It's officially New Years Eve (or New Christmas Eve as my son calls it ???? don't ask it's hard telling why he call it that) it seems like just yesterday we were ringing in 2007 ~ and yet this year I'm on break with a job that is paying me while I'm on break and knowing I have a full time job to start again on Thursday ... a little stability is always a good thing.

So any plans for the evening?? Not here... mostly watching tv and watching the kids destroy the house again ... I'll be so glad when school starts and I can actually keep up with the housework :)

But really with the holiday's etc I didn't have time... I barely had time to remember to sleep !!

Christmas went off without a hitch the kids were so happy with all of their goodies.... I went in to have surgery done last Friday but it turns out there were NO gall stones so they couldn't do anything... which I guess was good but very frustrating b/c that means I am back to square one to find out why I'm having these attacks.

I am thinking I need to get a freebie up on my blog to share with everyone .. I did just make a challenge freebie for Moo Two Designs so if you stop by the site and participate in the challenges you may just get a freebie mini kit from me !!!!!!

I can't believe how COLD it is this morning... yesterday/last night was in the upper 40's and raining and this morning it's gusty winds (50 mph some of them) and snowing ... YUCK YUCK YUCK !!

I really love the holidays ~ well some of it ! I love the lights, the kids being all excited about the presents coming and seeing their eyes as they see the presents under the tree.... but I'm still a bit of a bah humbug too... it's all just so fast paced so early now days.... I want to slow down some .... and just be able to "be"... is it really too much to ask?
